The Coffeehouse - Normal, IL
w/ The Locked Sound, Smoke Off Vinyl, Signsedso, Twilight Effect

Notes:
Notes: Why have I put off writing about this show for so long? It seems to be a no brainer. Well, it was one helluva night! Let me tell you. Our second trek out of town and this time it was too Bloomington/Normal to once again be with our girlfriends, The Locked Sound. The show was at this little place on main street in downtown Normal called The Coffehouse read: no booze. Jeff and I made amends with that situation with a little chug chug in the parking lot. We went on first as always and tore it up as always. Many people bopping and shaking. About 3 or 4 songs in Jim broke a bass string. I know. WTF, right? Who breaks bass strings? Well, when youÕve bitten off your own fingers and replaced them with nails (like Jim has) it happens. Chris jumped in and lent bass this lessthanamazing bass. But it more than worked, so it was splendid.

Scott Walus (from TLS of course) took some pretty interesting video. My friend, Nate, that I work with came out to the show. He was visiting his family in town and was kind enough to visit us. Made some friends in Smoke Off Vinyl from Chicago. Cool band and cool guys. Much standing outside on the sidewalk getting air and escaping a couple bands we were less than excited about.

After the show Brad and I went to The Locked House for the massive party. What happened there will forever remain between those that were there. LetÕs just say it involved drinking, wrestling, puking, sex, laughing, a spatula, Brad in his underwear, the Special Olympics, and random makeouts.
