Notes: Our first road trip of 2005 and our first time in Champaign. What a blast! I mean normal life is great, but I wish we could do this every weekend. We got hella lost and ended up going an hour out of our way, but we eventually made it. I've been wanting to play this town since I was first in bands, and our first couldn't have been better. The Canopy Club is this huge venue where the likes of Local H, the Mighty Mighty Bpsstones, G Love, etc. play - but this night was a benefit for the local IMC community that's trying to get a new radio station off the ground. We played first - and though it was freeeeezing I think we got things moving pretty quickly. What's with Left Arm debuting new CDs out of town? Well, this night was the first night the "Hotmouth Jive" CD/EP was available. They're nice and free and we handed out a handful. We also (finally) got to play with our new pals The Locked Sound. They're really really good and it was nice that our sets were back-to-back. Lynsee put on a great show with a wide variety of bands/acts.
